Student Clinic and Massage Training

The student massage clinic is an integral part of the student learning experience. It is where our students train and practice their massage and bodywork, client interaction, and professional skills on the general public under the supervision of a skilled massage instructor.

Our massage clinic is also a place of relaxation and healing; a place in which our students, graduates, and instructors can be of service to the community. It is a place in which clients can optimize health, experience pain relief, and seek assistance with health issues.

Treatments are performed by students who are enrolled in the Diploma program, under the supervision of an instructor. At a minimum, students can perform a relaxation therapeutic massage but, based on where they are in their training, may not be able to deliver a great deal of pressure, work on specific issues, or work with certain modalities. Students are randomly assigned to clients. For those clients who wish to request a specific therapist, gender, skill level, or specific bodywork modality, we recommend a professional therapist.

Student clinic availability varies based on the number of classes going through the program, holidays, and school breaks. The price of a 55-minute student massage is $40.

It is imperative that you read the student clinic policy before you book your first appointment, including our right to refuse service, scheduling and cancellation, informed consent clauses, and liability waiver.

Class Schedule

The Diploma program is offered on a full-time (fast-track option) or part-time (extended-track option) basis.

Fast-Track option: Classes meet 3 days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 8:45AM to 5:05PM, for 6.5 to 7 months. Students are expected to allocate an additional 10-20 hours of time for homework. Students who work more than 20 hours per week may not be admitted into the fast-track program.
Extended-track option A: Classes meet 3 evenings per week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 5:45PM to 9:35PM, for 10.5 to 11 months.
Extended-track option B: Classes meet 2 afternoons/evenings per week, on Tuesdays from 1:15PM to 9:35PM, and on Thursdays from 5:45PM to 9:35PM, for 10.5 to 11 months.
Note: During the second half of the program, students must complete their clinic preparation and clinical practice. Clinic preparation consists of five four-hour sessions; clinic practice consists of twenty five four-hour shifts. Clinic prep and practice is typically on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Each new group is limited to 14 students. Call 618-000-0000 to start your exciting journey or attend one of our information sessions.
